Papaya (Carica papaya) is a fruit grown in tropical parts of the world such as Hawaii, the South Pacific, South America and many other places.

The Green Papaya fruit are harvested at the optimal moment before fully ripened. The Papaya is known to have an abundance of two very important enzymes that break down proteins: PaDiscomfort and chymopaDiscomfort. These are proteolytic enzymes, which assist proper digestion in humans by breaking down proteins into simpler and more soluble forms.

 
Bullet Suggested Use
One or two Green Papaya capsules can be taken with meals and are particularly effective with protein foods. They can be taken in between meals to maximize green papaya's enzyme action outside of the digestive system. When first beginning to use green papaya, be sure to drink plenty of purified water. Start slowly with one to two capsules daily with a meal. The quantity can then be gradually increased as desired; or use as directed by your health care practitioner.

PaDiscomfort, the digestive enzyme commonly found in natural food stores, is actually derived from green rather than ripe papayas. While still on the vine, green papaya’s enzyme concentrations increase reaching a maximum when the fruit is full-grown. When left on the vine, key enzymes are used to ripen the fruit giving the yellow or orange tropical delicacy we all know. At the climacteric stage before ripening, the green fruit is carefully harvested to yield an optimal amount of enzymes. A special low-temperature drying process is used before the green fruit is ground into a pale-green, medium-fine powder.
