Cleavers (Galium aparine) is a climbing plant that has long stems that sprawl over the ground and other plants of the family Rubiaceae. Cleavers grow in wet areas of Britain, Europe, Asia, and North America. The leaves and flowers of cleavers are used medicinally for Edema and to promote urine formation during bladder infections. Cleavers has no known side effects and is thought to be safe for use by children and pregnant or nursing women.
